Token symbol is a short human ticker stored on the Metaplex metadata account. Usually 2–8 characters, uppercase, unique inside a specific ecosystem but not globally enforced — many tokens can share a symbol.

Always verify with the mint address before trading. Symbol alone can be spoofed.
