Definition

The mint authority of an SPL token is the wallet or PDA allowed to create new tokens. If active, the holder can inflate supply at any time. If revoked (set to null), no more tokens can ever be minted for that mint.

Active mint authority is a top rug pull signal for meme coins claiming "fixed supply". Revoking mint authority is one of the strongest trust signals a project can ship. MakeMeACoin can revoke atomically alongside a platform fee.
