Automated Market Maker — a DEX design where liquidity pools price assets algorithmically instead of using an order book.
AMMs price assets from pool reserves using a formula (constant product x*y=k for classic AMMs). Every trade updates reserves, moving price automatically. No matching engine, no market maker required.
