An SPL Token version of native SOL — used inside DeFi programs that expect SPL tokens on both sides of a swap.
Wrapped SOL (WSOL, mint So11111111111111111111111111111111111111112) is native SOL wrapped as an SPL Token. Wrapping lets you use SOL inside Raydium, Orca, and other AMMs that require SPL Tokens as inputs.
Most wallets and Jupiter Router wrap and unwrap SOL automatically. You rarely need to interact with WSOL directly.
