Permanently destroying tokens by sending them to a burn address or invoking the SPL burn instruction — reducing circulating supply.
Burning tokens permanently removes them from circulation. On Solana, the SPL Token program has a native burn instruction that decrements the mint's supply. There is no way to recover burned tokens.
